INTRODUCTION ABOUT PUBLIC RELATION
Public Relations in Academic Institutions is a public information officer for a local school district that must constantly deal with parents, the school board, and other community and governmental organizations. A university director of public relations or even marketing communications, on the other hand, has less interaction with parents but must deal with ongoing student recruitments, campus controversies, and alumni relations.
WHAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF PR TO THE ENTITY OR INDUSTRY?
The main purpose of public relations is to promote, protect, and manage reputation, increase brand awareness, create memorable events and experiences, publicising products and services, help employees to be more productive, bridge gaps between audiences, manage crises, issues, and incidents, lobbying, briefing and educating, supporting business leaders and those who want to be leaders, guiding organisations through business transformation, restructuring, and turnaround, putting things in the best light, mitigating reputational damage, and finding, writing and telling compelling stories.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO THE ENTITY OR INDUSTRY?
(NON _ GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION)
Public relations have become critical for educational institutes in order to attract new students, function successfully in society, improve brand recognition, and inform students and their parents about the courses they offer and the fee structure. In this article, I have mentioned the role, importance, and how PR firms benefit schools, colleges, and institutes. Now let's take a look at some different aspects of public relations and educational institutions. With numerous schools, colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions, education in India is a massive industry. It is not surprising that competition for students and parents' attention is fierce; Because of this increased competition in the education sector, institutes, universities, and colleges are turning to public relations firms to ensure that the public has a favorable perception of the educational quality they provide.
CONCLUSION
Finally, after a few posts of writing about my perspective and the reality of PR, now I have a better understanding of what PR looks like in real working life. Through this assignment, now I know PR is not as easy as I think. It requires experience but not only the qualification in the certificate and a variety of skills to work as a PR practitioner. Besides that, I finally know what Corporate Comm. and PR. They are actually almost the same but only a few differences. This assignment, it makes me rethink again whether I am suitable for PR or not. After comparing my perspective and the reality of PR, I still think that PR is a fun and exciting job.
